About this watch
A beautiful early Heuer Carrera ref. 3647D, dating from around 1963–1964, featuring the distinctive silver dial with blue decimal scale.
This is an early execution with the desirable “SWISS”-only dial and the unusual polygonal screw-down caseback, both characteristic details of the earliest years of Carrera production.
The original dial has developed a lovely, natural patina, while the blue decimal scale remains beautifully preserved. The 36mm stainless steel case is in excellent condition, retaining sharp lugs and well-defined original bevels.
Inside is the hand-wound Valjoux calibre 92, featuring a 45-minute chronograph register.
A particularly attractive example of the first-generation Heuer Carrera, with all the details that make these early models so interesting to collectors.
