About this watch
A beautiful and honest example of the Rolex Oyster Junior Sport, reference 3136, dating back to the early 1940s.
The stainless steel Oyster case measures 31 x 39 mm and perfectly reflects the early sport models that built Rolex’s reputation for durability and everyday usability. It wears surprisingly well and has that typical early Oyster presence you want to see.
What really makes this piece stand out is the original black gilt dial, double signed by Beyer Zürich. Beyer is one of the oldest and most respected retailers in the world, and watches retailed by them are always sought after by collectors. The combination of the deep black dial and warm gilt printing gives it a lot of depth, especially in natural light. The radium numerals and hands add to the pure, tool-watch character of the piece.
A very nice bonus is that the watch still comes with its original Beyer Zürich box, which ties everything together and adds a great historical touch.
